Bird’s Nest cookies are perfect for Easter (or any other time). This particular recipe is a basic Bird’s Nest recipe. There are several variations on this basic recipe that I’ll share too!
Ingredients
- 4 cups chow mein noodles
- 3 cups mini marshmallows
- 3 tbsp. butter or margarine
- small jellybeans
Instructions
- Line a cookie sheet with tinfoil and lightly grease with cooking spray.
- Place noodles into a large bowl.
- Over medium heat, melt marshmallows in butter until smooth.
- Pour melted marshmallows over noodles.
- Stir until noodles are well-coated.
- Greased hands with butter, and form noodle mixture into 6 round balls and place on cookie sheet.
- Press a spoon into each ball to create an indentation.
- Allow nests to set until firm.
- Fill each nest with several small jelly beans.
Note: Other fun next fillings include M&Ms, raisins, or jelly.
